Welcome to my blog!

Hello, and welcome to my blog!

As a part of my undergraduate Geography degree at UCL I am studying water and development in Africa. I have chosen to focus on the important issue of the provision of food in Sub Saharan Africa, and its links to the infamous water crisis. My reason for doing so is simply that, as a physical geographer, food is something that I have never studied in much depth before, despite being a huge issue globally.

Farmer-led irrigation in Sub-Saharan Africa

Each week my blog will explore different issues surrounding water and food in Africa, such as the link between food security and climate change, and different methods of irrigation. To kick things off, my next post will be looking at what exactly is the "water crisis" in Africa, and also the undoubted food crisis it is coupled with.

Stay tuned!
